DCIS SBSM Fitness Center Now Open to Students Monday through Thursday

Due to a high response of students coming to our fitness center on Mondays and Wednesdays, the SBSM project coordinators have approved to have the fitness center open Monday through Thursday after school.

All students need are a physcial and parent permission. Admission to the fitness center is free for students.

Collaborative School Committee

Each Denver public school has a Collaborative School Committee (CSC) with representation from parents, community, faculty, administrators, and classified staff. The purpose and scope of the CSC is to enhance student achievement and school climate by engaging the school community in collaborative efforts supporting the school and District’s goals. The CSC provides strategic direction in support of the school’s mission and vision as stated in the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP).

The CSC for the Denver Center for International Studies meets monthly (bimonthly during the budget process), and meetings are open to the public. The first ten minutes are for community comment. Meeting dates, agendas, and minutes are posted on the Announcements Section of the DCIS website and on a bulletin board outside the main office. Regular updates on CSC business will appear in the monthly newsletter.

Meetings for 2011-2012

CSC Meetings will occur on the third Thursday of each month from 4:30-6:30pm. Meetings will be held in the Travel Center. Meeting dates are:
